Nazariyat al-Tawīl fi-l-Quran

Tawīl is a term that has been used in the Quran and Hadith of the Ahlul Bayt and has been used by Muslims during the early Islamic period. Also, the term has been subject to study and discussion by the scholars of Quranic sciences always and is hence one of the most important Quranic sciences. Noticeably, a lot differences- especially the ideological and theological ones- between various Muslims sects go back to the issue of Tawīl.

Keeping in view the importance of the issue and the Quranic term in Islamic thought, the author has tried to explain the issue in this book.

The contents of the book are in two parts:

Part one: Theory of Tawīl in the Holy Quran:

The part comprises of three chapters.

1. Fundamental approaches in understanding the Tawīl of Quran.
2. Does anyone except Allah have the knowledge of the Tawīl of Quran?
   1.  Mystics’ point of view on the Tawīl of the Quran; Sayyid Haidar Amoli as an example.

Part two: Explaining the achievements and results of the theory of existence of Tawīl for the Quran.

1. Quran has an appearance and a hidden reality.
2. The axis in consistence of the noun is inclusiveness of the aim and objective in the extension.
3. Quran is comprised of a series of Mutashabihat (ambiguous verses).
