Analysis of Ayatollah Sayed Kamal al-Haydari’s religious thought in an international scientific webinar

French Institute of Oriental Archaeology in Cairo (IFAO) Egypt held an online seminar on 21st of June 2020 titled: “Islam of the Koran, Islam of the Hadith: overcoming the cleavage between the new thinkers of Islam and the Ulemas” based on analyzing the religious thought of Ayatollah Sayed Kamal al-Haydari- the Shi’a al-Marja’ al-Dini.

The seminar was held in collaboration with the Dominican Center for Oriental Studies in French with an Arabic translation. Youssouf Sangaré a contemporary intellectual and professor at Clermont Auvergne University, France- spoke at the event.

After a presentation by Dr. Sangaré on Ayatollah Haydari’s opinions, around 20 participants from the panel discussed and analyzed the issue.

Notably, Dr. Sangaré is also one of the theoreticians and presenters on a seminar on Arabic Civilization and the Arab World in the Clermont Fran University of France and the author of the book “Revival of thought in the Quran and Islamic traditions, Introduction to ideas of Fadhl al-Rahman, 2017” and “The Seal of Prophethood in Islam, 2018”.

The seminar was held without correspondence with Ayatollah Haydari’s office spontaneously and independently. The 93 minute long seminar’s video is available on YouTube via the following link:
