Istifta'at

In the west sometimes the tobacco that is used in a pipe makes an extra taste with the names of alcoholic drinks. For example, it is said that this tobacco has the essence of wine. As tobacco is not edible and just for smoke, what they mean is that its essence smells like that but does not make one drunk. Does using this tobacco in this way have any objection according to Shariʿah?

If you do not become drunk and it does not have alcohol, then there is no objection.
