Al-Madhhab al-Zātī fī Nazariyat al-M’arifa

Ayatollah Haydari wrote this important book in honor of his teacher, Ayatollah Sayed Muhammad Baqir al-Sadr and his epistemological achievements in his book, “al-ʾUsus al-Mantiqīyyah li l-Istiqrāʾ”.

Ayatollah Haydari has explained the epistemological theory of Shaheed al-Sadr regarding the surety of induction and the issue of probability along with its effects on various Islamic sciences such as logic, jurisprudence, ʾUsul al-Fiqh and theology in this book.

The author, in the first part, discusses the characteristics of this school of thought and its differences with rationalism and empiricism in the introduction of the book. In the second part however, which makes up almost one third of the book, applications and achievements of the natural school of thought in various sciences have been discussed.
