What is the ruling regarding cosmetics that are made from animal corpse?

Whatever is obtained from un-Islamically slaughtered animals, whether its meat is Halal or not, is Najis (impure) and the same applies to its corpse. However, products which are made from animals whose blood does not gush, such as insects, is Tahir (pure). Similarly items which are made from the lifeless parts of an animal, such as wool, hair, fur, teeth bones, whiskers, beaks, nails, horns, cotton etc. are pure and there is no difference whether these items are from animals whose meat is Halal or not and it will only be considered Najis when it comes into contact with wetness. Items which have undergone major fundamental and chemical changes and actual Istiḥalah whether they are made from Islamically slaughtered animals or otherwise, are Tahir.
